Held in beautiful, historic Cedar Key, Florida 

Limited to Twelve Participants (Six Fiction Writers, Six Non-fiction Writers)

Manuscript-based workshop sessions, readings, discussions, and more.

Conference Features:

Manuscript/critique-based workshops limited to six writers per group.  The fiction group will be taught by Connie May Fowler.  The creative non-fiction instructor is Zilpha Underwood. 

Group discussions addressing revision, editing, publishing, methods for building a sustainable writer's life, and more.

Evening reading studio sessions in which students give readings from their works-in-progress and receive feedback from Connie May and Zilpha. 

Book-in-common with group discussion led by Eileen Burt Carbia, former Professor of Literature at Appalachian State University.

Schedule structured so that participants and instructors build a community of writers that endures long after leaving Cedar Key. 

Downtime appropriately scheduled so that participants enjoy all that Cedar Key has to offer.

The Cedar Key Project is a family friendly writers conference.  Cedar Key
offers an abundance of activities that writers, spouses, partners, and children can enjoy.  All workshop and discussion sessions are open to participants only.
Admission:

Admission to The Cedar Key Project is based on the quality of each writer’s manuscript submitted in his/her application.
